El Greco, Velázquez, Goya: The Immortal Triad

In May 2026, the Nomad Immersive Museum opened a new experience offering an in-depth immersion into the soul of Spain through its most iconic painters. The exhibition illustrates the evolution of Spanish art through a unique combination of high definition projections, animated graphics and a carefully selected soundtrack. Following the global success of other multimedia art experiences in Europe and Asia, the Nomad Museum is hosting the world première of this immersive journey that celebrates three icons who redefined the course of western painting. In the case of El Greco, master of Mannerism, known for his elongated figures and spiritual intensity, he bridged the gap between the Byzantine tradition and Renaissance. Velázquez, considered to be the “painter of painters”, whose mastery of light and perspective in the royal court became a major influence for generations of artists. And Goya, the revolutionary visionary whose work transitioned from Rococo elegance to the unsettling “Black Paintings”, capturing the social and political upheavals of his era. The exhibition transforms the space into a work of holistic art, using multi-channel animation and high resolution projectors. In this way, the works are projected on giant screens at diverse angles and move to the rhythm of a dramatic soundtrack, trapping the spectator in a torrent of colour and emotion. As visitors move through the space, they will be able to see how these masters evolved from documenting their surroundings to creating deep psychological and atmospheric worlds. Beyond the visual show, The Immortal Triad serves as an educational platform. Visitors will explore an introductory area which includes the Historical Context, analysing key events and ideas from the Spanish Golden Age and the Enlightenment; and Artistic Perspectives with information on the specific colour palettes, techniques and interesting facts about the lives of El Greco, Velázquez and Goya. The exhibition has been produced by VISION MULTIMEDIA PROJECTS, an international company with its headquarters in Berlin which has produced acclaimed projects, such as Being Van Gogh and Bosch&Beyond, among many others.
