A Night in the Prado Museum

With the collaboration of the Community of Madrid and Samsung, the museum will open different exhibition spaces free of charge on the first Saturday of each month as part of a programme that seeks to raise awareness of the institution sequentially. There will also be different musical initiatives and the possibility of discovering some of the multimedia experiences that Samsung and the Museum have created over ten years working together. The next edition will be held on Saturday 3 October. This action will offer a unique and unprecedented experience, which reveals some of the interactive experiences that Samsung has developed in collaboration with the institution, such as The Dauphin's Treasure or the development of the Guide to the Prado App, among others. Furthermore, visitors will be able to enjoy a selection of works edited by the Museum for the Samsung The Frame Art Store. The cafeteria service will also be open in different spaces. The first edition of this unprecedented experience was held on 4 March 2023, featuring the Central Gallery. It included a journey focusing on European painting, from Titian and Velázquez to Rubens and Goya. Two interesting encounters stood out: that of Titian’s Adam and Eve and the version by Rubens; and two remarkable paintings of Venus and Adonis, one by Paulo Veronese around 1580 and the other by Annibale Carracci, which was painted barely ten years later. Radio 3 will also be participating in this experience with the live broadcast of a special programme on the Prado in the lobby of the Jerónimos Building, in which journalists and DJs from the radio station will be highlighting the uniqueness of the proposal.
